The first image is actually from sunset night 16. The light is making Cummings Mesa glow. The second image is buttermilk clouds above Sand Canyon, third is where Sand Canyon meets Lake Powell. The last is on our way to our last campsite, right across from Gregory Butte. Stay tuned for some cool archaeological finds.

Wow those pictures are special. I live in the Northeast of the US (NH).
Although I have visited this area of the country It's great to see it under different conditions.
Thanks for the insight into a glimpse of time and place.

This is a wonderful country we live in. We spent 9 years living in an RV on average 5 months a year traveling and living in America. It was a hoot.

Glad you like the images Jim. Have you gotten a chance to look at the previous 10 posts or so as I document the whole adventure.

I live in Cambridge Ma. but often do a slide show at the Highland Center in N.H.'s Crawford Notch, highlighting the fight to protect over 8 million acres of Utah's canyon country as permanent wilderness. You should come to my next show. Why don't you private message me...

Great series. Incidentally, did you see a lot of rattlers?
