In the world of Ferrari, it doesn't get any more authentic then this car. It's a 1949 Ferrari 166 MM. It is the very first model produced by Enzo Ferrari after he set up shop under his own name. Records are a little murky but most authorities believe only 24 166 MM models were produced. What is certain is that this car was the second one made and it was outfitted with some extra racing options. Cars with these racing features were often referred to as Touring Barchettas. This car was raced successfully in a number of the more noted events. It also served as Ferrari's principal sales tool for several years after it was retired from racing.

Yes it has, Mike. My first impression of the car was how small it is....very compact. But back in it's racing days the cars tended to be a bit smaller.
