I wonder if they based the name on Alice in Wonderland.

This is something brand new and different. You buy the body and then attach your iPhone to the rear of the camera. The phone controls the camera. After the camera takes the picture, it goes directly to the phone via Bluetooth. From there, you can send it anywhere.

Batches 1 and 2 sold out, and they're taking orders for batch 3. It looks like it's $1,495. Look for info online. I don't expect many positive replies about this.

I just can't see why people want them but then I am not like most people.

For $1500 one could get a spanking new Canon EOS-5DS-R with 50MP and nobody wanted. Canon initially priced it at $4700 but at the end they couldn't sell it for $1500.

The Alice camera is $1500. Then there’s another $1100 for the IPhone
$2600 buys a lot of DSLR

My R7 quickly connects with my cellphone and transfers photos to it as fast as I can move the ones that I want to post.
Not sure what this gives me except a very slight quicker transfer.
This at the cost of a less versatile camera.
And my camera has a wide range of optional lenses.
Just don't see it.

Exactly. Both my digital cameras support BT and WIFI image transfer.

Actually it has the entire range of M4/3 lenses available to it, but that $1500 is without a lens. I can see it as a “content creator” camera but it won’t compete with most mirrorless cameras with frame rates and AF tracking. It’s also less than 11mp.

While I won’t by buying this, (the $1500 also doesn’t include a lens), I won’t be spending $2600 on a DSLR in 2023 either.

I think this is a niche camera for social media content creators that need good 4K video but with better lenses for low light and depth of field control unattainable with a phone.

Does it only work with an iPhone? If not, what about any android phone? Samsung?
