Just a lazy summer's day

The desert is settling into it's summer routine. Days are getting hotter and longer crepuscular activities are the order of the day. That means that I have to get up earlier to catch wildlife activity. Walking the desert becomes problematic after dark because of increased reptile activity and migrant problems since and since I no longer have someone to walk with.

No, I am 80 years old. I am able to understand what happened to The Ghost Dog. If I got another dog now, one day he would think I had abandoned him and be heart broken. I can't do that to a friend
