Once again we were battered by storms, actually spent a day in camp as the weather was too extreme to venture far. You can see from how I set up my tent in the first photo that we needed to deal with extreme winds. Later on (maybe day 13) we were hit with gusts of up to 75 mph - strong enough that you couldn't move against the gusts.

To the title, "Photographing where few ever venture," I would add "and return." I can see this being part of a plot of a supernatural horror movie, truly the surroundings are not a pleasant picnic park.

Such beautiful country. I've been hit by wind when camping. It's not fun. And it wasn't anywhere near what you had. You must have really strong tents!
