Great set Rick. My favorite is (and this is very hard to capture) is the third shot with the ball hitting the bat and the bat bending. Sensational Rick.
good stuff.

Thanks Jules! That was my first ever bat on ball picture and trust me I've been trying at this since last season. I had a fun time with these future varsity stars! I have a few baseball/softball games this week to improve my captures of this sport. Maybe another year I'll reach your level of expertise!

Great shots. I'm with Jules on the pic...especially the compression of the ball against the bat. You've got me now looking at pro's shots at MLB games to see the same.

Got lucky with that shot but I'm getting more balls in the frame or near the bat lately with timing my capture using the lcd panel where I can keep an eye on the pitcher and already have the batter framed ( no looking thru the viewfinder). Also helps you can take a quick number of pictures like with the R3.

Thank you Raymond! It was a fun but very long day shooting a double header.

Tom your stuff is really good too, i think we are both chasing Jules! The z9 (I believe you are using that body) has really made a difference in quality. I know when I changed over to the mirrorless bodies my images are definitely better, especially at higher iso.
Keep shooting and stay safe.
