We had a substantial, wet, heavy snowfall on Saturday night, so I drove down to the old part of the city yesterday morning. It was difficult to find a parking spot as the snowplows had pushed all of the snow to the side, making parking spots inaccessible. Fortunately, I did find a small parking lot that had been partially cleared. There was still some light precipitation in the form of wet snow and rain, and the sky was a dull grey. The first image was taken at about sunrise from a small park called Montmorency park, while the second was taken from the parking lot about 20 - 25 minutes later. The third shot is just Blvd. Champlain, the main street that runs alongside the river almost to the west end of the city. The Chateau would be just to the right on top of the promontory (Cape Diamond).
Wonderful set, John! I appreciate the effort that you put in to get these results.
Thank you very much for those thumbs, Manglesphoto!

Many thanks, Mike! Haven't been out for some time and I almost stayed in a nice warm bed, but managed to drag myself out; short lived as it was.

Nice photos. But it looks cold and miserable!

Thanks, Chief! I guess that everything is relative, but, yes, compared to what you are experiencing it was cold. There was a fairly strong wind at times and that made it rather unpleasant.
Very nice set, GreyOwl. Winter seems to be hanging on in Saskatchewan as well.
Very nicely captured - well done!
