You and me both! By comparison, the Angel Oak in Charleston (some believe it to be the oldest tree east of the Mississippi) has several of its limbs supported with steel rods.

Great picture. I believe it's a live oak tree. Great trilogy, live oaks, spanish moss and the south. Believe there is a society that collects seeds for preservation.
