Bacon on the hoof!
Looks like the soft shell Turtle caught a frog! I thought they were vegetarians. Learn something new every day in the swamp!
And there are still birds!

Curmudgeon, I like your suggestion on wild hog control. Not certain how many people realize wild pigs are a Major ecological problem in the USA. I have a friend who has detailed trap and bait solutions for trapping wild hogs.

Yes it would. But then you would have to cross the Gator infested canal to retrieve them! Or maybe just let the Gators have them! Glad you liked this one!

They are a major problem in the many parts of the country. They are trapping them at Myakka River State Park here in Florida but not making much, if any headway as far as population numbers go. The problem is that pigs are very intelligent. If part of a herd sees some members trapped, the rest of them will be almost impossible to be trapped.
The solution, as I see it, is wide open no season hunting. It worked in Washington State several years ago!
