Orchids and Mirrors

I wasn't sure what I would end up with when the idea struck me. The mirrors were held in place with long Q-Tips & hot wax applied on the back of the mirrors. Just cheep Amazon1 1/2 inch mirrors. Once mounted then held in place with a light stand and bar with clamps.

I have to keep moving at my age. I enjoy finding new photographic challenges, while surfing YouTube most days learning new techniques and interesting compositions.

A+ for ingenuity and creative effort. I'm not convinced that the mirrors add that much to you composition. I like the idea and the effect is interesting, though.

Thank Erich. I had the same feeling about the mirrors. I had the idea spent a couple of hours masking and adding some edges to the mirrors. Once finished I thought it's no show winner decided to post to see what others thought.🤔

I would not have thought you used mirrors to get the final results. If asked I would have said it was done with layers in PS or some other software.

It was done with mirrors. I positioned a mirror one at a time as you see them then took the shot. I then layered the 4 photos and opened each mirror separately. I had to work at getting the angles just right so not to have me or any camera gear in the mirror.

Thank you so much Bev.
I see you live in Oregon, you must have some great opportunities for landscape photography? Here in Texas is is so flat.
