Give the Sony versus Canon nonsense a rest. It is really tiresome.

You dont have to read any comments, just move on. I am answering you know who's fake news with some facts.
UHHers deserve facts with any discussion.

Cheers and best to you.

You are engaging in an ongoing petty personal feud. It is tiresome.

By the way, you don't have to read this comment, you can just move on. Oops, hoisted by your own petard.

You people arguing about a lens hood? And comparing corporate sales of different companies? I've always said amateurs ALWAYS argue about equipment. Good photogs talk about opportunities, great photographers, and techniques. Grow up.

This past year I bought a new Samsung 75" TV. No it did not include a operating manual. When I called them about this I was told that I could download it. No they did not have a printed one for sale at a price. To download it would take 74 pages. Hmmmm! This is my 5th new Samsung TV I have bought in the past 12 years and all the previous TV's came with a operating manual. Maybe I will choose a different brand TV next time I buy!

Good luck with that! I have recently purchased a Toaster Oven and an InstaPot. Also, my son, who maintains my Galaxy on his Plan, just upgraded me to the new Galaxy 14. Not one of them came with anything more than a minimal "Quick Start". Maybe you don't want to print out seventy-some pages of a Manual, but you can download to your Download folder and access when you need.

Years ago, maybe 2005 or so, I went to the DC Auto Show; the car manufacturers didn't have brochures; they told me to go online & print it. Cost was shifted to consumers a ling time ago

When we grow up we will move on from UHH. Until then, no one else will have us!

Auto brochures are scarce
As kids we walked to local dealer picked them up went home and dreamed. Pick out options and color. We had a blast. When we were of age we went to the dealer and bought our cars. Never a thought going elsewhere

just bought a new Canon RF 100-400; a check of the item on the Canon website shows that the lens hood is OPTIONAL !! REALLY? ( On Amazon, the Canon hood retails for $54.95, a generic, which looks identical, is $13.95 )

Where else are they shortchanging customers ?

Why is it so shocking, canon has always sold them separate
