Well, shrinkflation made it to the funnies. And that ain't funny.
Have you seen (noticed) the change in crackers?
The sleeves are almost an inch shorter that the box.
Some crackers have the holes in them twice as large as they used to be.
I wonder how much dough they are saving making the holes larger...

Enough to make a difference.
I won't buy Gir Scout cookies anymore. The box is the same size but only about half the cookies now. Besides, Keebler makes "Grasshoppers" that are as good as the GS mint cookies.

My first wife was a GS leader for 20+ years, I [i]still[/] buy them to support the troop selling them, and usually add a nice "tip" that goes directly to the troop. My most recent purchase was two boxes on the last day of sales (slim pickin's on choices) and a $10 tip. Also, I was a BS troop Committee Chair for years. I like supporting Scouts.

Aside from online, I haven't seen them for sale for decades.

I wonder what kind of percentage of the price of cookies goes to the GS? I think very little. So I would give the GS money but I don't buy the cookies. May be I am wrong but I feel the cookies company takes advantage of the GS.

Definitely! They could take 99%, but at least the GS get that 1%. That's the excuse that fundraisers use. "Sure, we get 99%, but how much would you get without us?"

I don't remember exactly, but at the current rate of $5 a box, it would not surprise me for the troop to get $1 at the most. Yea, I like certain cookies, but I've just given them a donation if they don't have anything I desire. Thank you for donating without compensation!

When I've been out and about, I haven't seen them selling where I've gone in the past year or two.

If the multiplier is big enough, the multiplicand doesn't need to be big.

Haha, like 50 million crackers.....
The thing I hate is that when I make PB & J (or just J) crackers, the J leaks through the holes now...

We've never purchased GS cookies for the cookies (now we give them away), we purchased them to contribute to the GS (regardless of how much they actually make) organization. I suppose we felt that we were helping out our local girls. They were always excited and enthusiastic and it made us "feel good" to have them "feel good". That's all.

That's why I would just donate my money. I won't buy something I think is a bad deal just to help the girls. I can help the girls by giving them directly.
