It's possible that the bank pay the tax in hope of getting the interest payment.

I'll bet there are some decent incentives!

I thought so because I saw some posts from UHH members that have excellent credit rating but PayBoo refused to give them the card. I guess they figure the are not going to make any money off these folks.

Has anyone recently used the new PAYBOO Card from B&H when making a purchase? Is the tax immediately credited to your purchase or is this just a credit against future purchases? What are the Pro's & Con's of using this method of payment? And do you find it worth opening a new credit card?

The last time I used this card, the sales tax was credited at the time of sale. I have experienced no downsides.

It can be paid by the due date when you get a statement to avoid finance charges.

I sold all my old Nikon gear and got
Nikon Z9...Z6ii and eight Z lens...spent over $15,000.... the card saved me
$1,050 in Florida sales tax.
Good deal....But you must pay the balance or you will get hit with the big interest charge...

Just make certain that you pay the balance in full over the next few days after purchase... if you let it go and forget, the interest rate is in the range of 30%. Not a card to carry a balance on, but great for saving money at time of purchase.

That's true for most credit cards. Never, if possible, never allow a balance to carry over to "the next month". For the past 15 years, I seldom paid cash for any purchase, but I ALWAYS paid off the balance at the end of the month.

I use it all the time and credit is immediate. They changed banks in the last year but that was seemless.
Pay that balance because interest is 29.99%.

If you do not have excellent credit rating you will not get a card. Anyone who has an excellent credit rating will get a card.
Anyone who posts here that says they were denied a card even though they had an excellent credit rating is fabricating a false narrative.

This cart is my PREFERED card for using in B&H.
I RECOMEND (if You are B&H customer) it!

PRO, I save 6% on all of my purchases, CON, you have to pay it off (in full) each month on you will pay interest.
I use it all the time. You must pay it off within the month so they do not charge you any interest, no problem for me. On a recent purchase of a lens I saved $60.00.
This is just ONE of the reasons I like B&H, very good customer service is another reason.

That's right. They only accept payment by check, no electronic transfers, and they are slow to credit payments. I pay through my bank, which sends paper checks to them. They have charged me late fees when my bank sent checks to them 10 or fifteen days before payment was due. The late fees were greater than the tax savings.
I would suggest sending them the money before you receive the invoice to make sure that the payment is received on time.
I would also recommend users of the card to review the ratings this bank received from the BBB, Yelp and elsewhere online. This isn't a bank that I would want to do business with.

I’ve used it many times. Tax is taken out immediately as long as you pay the bill in full. You can save a lot on big ticket items. Even the small items add up. No downside as far as I am concerned.
