It got pretty intense last night in Arizona. We had a strong thunderstorm including a tornado sighting. For the most part the main body of the storm was about 4 miles to the north of us, but then the wind changed and brought it our way. The clouds were boiling right above our RV and winds started bringing driving rain. When we got the Tornado Warning, we hopped in the car and drove down the highway to a Loves truck stop.

Wow, I wish I was camping in AZ now! However I would pass on the tornado! Where is this camping area? Is it boondocking? I like that better than campgrounds!

Yes, boondocking for a few days just south of I-40 off of Highway 95, then more boondocking off Alamo rd south of Yucca until the end of April or middle of May, then escape the heat up by Williams.

Yeah, even Arizona gets pretty strong weather. I saw a tornado in Tucson back in 73 or 74 if I recall, which went through a trailer park and killed one man.

Pretty dark skies! I'd say you made the right call to get out of the storm path.
