Loaded the Sony A7R V with an Astro-Tech 65EDQ scope, Baader Hershel Wedge and Datyson 5x Barlow on the Evolution mount this afternoon. Not the best sky for solar with a fair amount of haze present.

Shot 2256 frames of 8K video and processed it to the attached result. The base image is 50% of full size and the inserts are full size crops from the original image.

The Sun is a busy spot in the solar system at present.

Enjoy!

Great, Brian!
Looks like the Sun has several Melanoma's.

If I were your neighbor, I'd ask to tag along just to watch you set up and shoot. Impressive shots.

Solar imaging is one of the simplest 'astrophotography' areas, immediately after Lunar imaging. Really all you need is a camera, lens/telescope, solar filter and tripod. Processing can be done using a number of freebie programs and if you're already postprocessing regular photographs you're ready to process Solar imaging.
