Your double decker bus photo is very intriguing with its mixture of colors and shapes. Good job!

Here are a couple photos from my recent trip to Greece. The first are ancient steps preserved in an archaeological site below the entrance to the Acropolis Museum in Athens. The second steps are harder to see. They're in the far right of this photo and they're one way to get from the sea shore to a town in Santorini. I took the easier way: a cable car.

I so remember those steps. First time to Santorini, we took a mule ride up - never thought about fleas until too late. LOL

I lived in Bloomfield Hills years ago. Remember some of these sites well. The Cranbrook stairs are very familiar - we were off Lone Pine just west of Franklin Rd. My parents had friends who taught at Cranbrook. I like the wonderful lines you've captured in your "stairs" along with some great symmetry.

I obviously played around with these first two images. They are from an abandoned school in my city. This should be a good challenge that I've not seen here.

Roxie, so wonderful to see you. Terrific series. Have missed your posts.

We were neighbors! We live off of Echo Road between Lone Pine and Ling Lake, very close to you. I love Cranbrook. I go there frequently to soak up the Saarinen beauty and reflect.

Who did your parents know at Cranbrook. I spent a lot of time there, in the metalsmithing department with Richard Thomas. Also knew the print making people. Here is a series of posters I did of Cranbrook.

My Father set up a shop for the grad students in Nantucket to work there and sell their art.

I have a very talented brother when it comes to metal sculpture (metal work of any kind, really). He recently used saw blades to create steps up to a spot where he feeds birds and assorted wildlife. The stairs work well and blend in with the theme of his other sculpted/welded critters he has around his yard. From several angles...
