What can I expect from my iPhone 11?

I have thousands of photos just sitting on my phone. Occasionally I’ll play with the built-in editing features but rarely print. What can I expect when I print in terms of clarity, enlargements, etc? Are there good on-line resources for shooting/editing? I’ll have this phone until my next upgrade is available. Thanks in advance.

I'd expect the same results when the image FILE is printed from a PC, maybe save any difference in print drivers on the phone. Assuming that the editor on the phone does not reduce the data in the file.
A picture file is a picture file.

You should be able to obtain quality prints from your phone. As was stated, “a picture file is a picture file.” The only thing is that very large prints might not be as sharp as you’d like, but 8x10’s and 11x14’s should be great. By the way, you should be able to upgrade to the iPhone 14, 14 Pro or Pro Max, now, since the iPhone 11 has been out of production for at least 3 years. Also, in about a year, Apple may stop supporting the iPhone 11, so you may want to consider upgrading now or in the near future.

I have a couple of 16x24 prints hanging on the wall that came from my IPhone 8+. They look great when viewed at a normal viewing distance.

Thanks! I won’t need anything larger than that.

If you have good printing skills and have a sharp photo to begin with you should be able to get a nice print up to 11x14.

What's the preferred way to get pics from your phone to your computer?

I have an iPhone 11 pro which I've been using since they first came out, before that it was an iPhone 6. You can get excellent results from an iPhone as long as you understand it's limitations. Most iPhones record in JPG format, enlarging an image can show some loss of detail (upwards of 11x17) I print mine at 8x10 largest and I have no problem. If you want to increase pixel count, their are a lot of apps that will do just that, but, my experience is that you will end up with a smaller image.
If you want a really good processing (post production) app use Snapseed, it's a free download from Goggle and it's one of the best apps you can use, it's also one of the most widely used apps. I've used it for years and aside from some "special affects apps" it's my go-to processing app.
Hope this helps

Forgot to mention, If you want to see what's capable with a smartphone, look at the winners of the IPPAwards, a once a year contest strictly for smartphones. if at any time an image is brought into a desktop program, it is automatically eliminated. The winners in each category are spectacular!
