Starting over!

I don't know if it was Samsung or Tmobile, but an album labeled "Recent" was added to my gallery with 25,030 items, photos and videos.

I made the mistake of selecting that album and deleting all.

It deleted all photos and videos from my phone. No albums saved to my SD card anymore!

I'm disgusted by it all!

Today's photos were taken on my walk with Ranger.

Check to see if you have a “recently deleted “ file, or something similar. There may be a grace period.

Oh man, that’s not good. I hope you have a “recently deleted” file. Meanwhile, Ranger continues to check things out. Neat mushroom pics, too.

Thanks for looking and for your comments! Much appreciated 😀. Ranger had a good morning, even if I wasn't.

I am recovering the photos, but will need to reorganize them into albums. Lesson learned!

Youch! I had an SD card crash once, and was very grateful that I backed up my photos to my computer. And to a thumb drive.

Thanks for looking and commenting Rich! Much appreciated 😀.

I was extremely lucky! I was able to restore everything from the trash bin, including the albums, much to my surprise.

I definitely will be much more careful with what and how I delete files in the future!

Yep! Two things I learned in the Dark Ages of computing:
1) Save your work OFTEN
2) The more backups you have, the happier you'll be when (not if) the system crashes.

Glad you got your stuff back! 👍

Dude, that's a lot of items on the cell phone. Kudos to you for prolific photography.

Thanks for looking and for your comment 👍! Much appreciated 😀. I usually move photos from my phone to my computer or ssd when I've taken between 15 and 25 thousand. I think somehow this last time they were moved to the cloud, and that is what created the "Recent" album.
