"Bitching". Most of the bitching ends up in Chit Chat. Many posts that start as "Chit-Chat" end up as Bitching.
Come on Admin. It would be very popular.

I thought that was part of the purpose for the Attic section.

Almost never visit it, so Iām not very well informed of its purpose.

It's where the trolls live and the nasty people visit.
As opposed to squishing free speech, things that are too obtuse get moved to the Attic.
I stay out of the Attic...

This is the description/rules for the Attic:
[[[As the description of the section says: The Attic is the place where we put stuff we don't want our guests to see.
This section is for topics that either start off or degrade into controversy, ranting, fights, drama, or anything else that typically generates complaints from our user base.
(So if you are about to create a new topic, and you know that it will be controversial, then please do me a favor and create it in The Attic, not in General Chit-Chat.)
The primary purpose of The Attic is to offload General Chit-Chat a bit. But topics from other sections will be moved here if deemed necessary.
All global forum rules still apply in this section. This is not a free-for-all zone but a way to limit negative exposure for users who want to subscribe to General Chit-Chat, but don't want to be bombarded with controversial topics on a daily basis.
This is a compromise.
Each user can make a decision to subscribe to either one of both of these sections.
Political posts are only allowed in the Attic. Posting politics in any other section (Main, GCC, etc.) will result in account suspension. That includes replies in existing topics and poisoning of other users' non-political topics with political replies.
Lastly, complaints about a topic moved to The Attic will also be moved to The Attic.]]]
I would think "Bitching" would fall within the bounds of "Rants, Controversy and Drama". Since there are at least 2 sides to be debated "Fights" would not be far behind. My point being that what might start out as an aggravation or disgruntlement will quickly land the post in the Attic anyway. Maybe you should call it The Second Attic and give it some different rules to tone it down if that is your intention.
I am surprised to see that you, Mark, are suggesting another section of negativity. The nice music you post led me to believe that your personality was a positive one and that you would be a peacemaker.
Good luck to you if your suggestion for a new section comes to fruition.

When I saw your name, I thought it was going to be a music section. I'd prefer that to Bitching.

All wording between the [[[ ]]] were copy and pasted from the Attic's rules and description.

We certainly have enough music posts here. Would you be willing to moderate it, though?

We certainly have an abundance. It seems to work as is. Iād prefer not to be a moderator.
Thanks for asking.
Mark.
