first off the proble is with the sd card in my D850. Here's how the error message appears in my top Control Panel. Along the top it says CArd, along the bottom it says Err. I tried several SD cards with same results. The XQD card still works and the SD cards will work in the computer. So it looks to me that there's a problem with the slot in the camera. Fortunately I'm only about a 20 minute drive from Service Photo in Baltimore were I'm going this morning.
Dropped the camera off at Service Photo. Ended up having to send it out to Nikons service center in NY. Minimum 2 weeks turn around and $350. Seem soothing is out of kilter in the sd card slot. Up dates as they arrive.
Are you just using the main section as you own personal blog now? Probably everyone who responded to your earlier (first) thread would be watching there for any ongoing updates.

One must assume that starlifter (141) doesn't know how to update his first thread, or the second, or the third, or even the fourth with the same subject.
Perhaps he should ask for help on the proper process.

A few years ago, there were Eye-Fi SD cards that sent the images to your computer. It was slower, but I didn't have to open the door or remove/replace the card. I think cameras themelves have Wi-Fi now, so maybe they can do the same thing, but I suspect it wouldn't be without problems. I insert the card into the computer.
