On 1/1/23 I created a post here concerning step-up rings. The response to the post was overwhelming, a tremendous amount of advice and helpful suggestions. I just realized that I have never properly thanked all who responded for their insighful information and I wanted to take this method of thanking each and every one of you who responded. Your help and advice cannot have been any better of more helpful.

Don't feel bad, you are not alone. I often post photos or ask questions and am at a loss as to how to thank all the kind responses I get. If we thank the responders within the chain of answers to the OP, I'm not sure they ever see that since they have most likely moved on and do not revisit the subject. I tried once to make up a response, copy it, and go to each person's private e-mail but that was frustrating and I lost track as other responses came in. I think I may have responded two or more times to some of them! Now I try to remember to thank them when I post something like "Thank you to all who may comment on my post". At least this way I know I have reached anyone that looks at my question or post. If someone takes an unusual amount of time to respond and writes a paragraph or two, I will send them a personal note.
Wouldn't this post better reach all the right and involved people by adding a <reply> to the original thread?

? I only see one response - mine, and I did add it under "quote reply" however I see no reply to anything under your post so I'm lost as to whom you may be trying to reach/educate. Also, you mention adding it to the original post that was posted on 1/23 and this was covered under my response -- that people might not be reached due to them thinking the chain had ended or at least ended for them.
