From my 2022 archive - Jordan dam, Moncure, NC. February.

I am no eagle whisperer, but from the 'body language' I assumed the following 'eagle-emotions' at play

1. Let's talk
2. Are you listening to me!
3. I will not dignify that comment with a response
4. I am right on at least this point
5. I give up

Wonder which one is the male?

Nikon D7200, 200-500 mm f/5.6.
Comments and critiques welcome.

Great shots. I am just so happy we didn't pick the turkey as our National bird. The eagle is forever majestic, strong and watchful.

Very funny sequence! I have one of a mother eagle and fledglings, which I will now need to look for, but I don't think it went back and forth as long... she made her point quickly. Nicely done.

Thank you, Jim, for the feedback. Picking your alternate possibility of a national bird, then eating it by the millions at least once a year, would not be good for our national image.
