For UHH using Topaz Denoise Al, this link might be of interest: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aS-NWdwKVEk
I am certainly not going back over my old RAWs and redoing them, but I will consider this approach as I edit my new incoming RAW files.
Denoise is a great program.
I like DeNoise a lot, but I have found that you have to exercise care in its use. The Topaz plug-in is easy to use and when invoked, it does a preliminary estimate of how much DeNoising to apply to the image. It provides a slider to allow you to modify its estimate. Like many other denoising techniques, too much can give faces a plastic look which detracts from the image. The software does a fairly good job with its initial estimate but I occasionally find a slight reduction gives something I like better.
