On our wanderings in northern PA.
I enjoy looking at old Architecture and the incredible craftsmanship put into the construction of these old homes compared to the current crop of homes.

Beautiful!
The features of the architecture bring to mind the adage "my home is my castle". . . .

Of course, the places where the carpenters, masons,
et al. lived were not quite so fancy! 😉 Also gotta wonder how much of that was "keeping up with the Joneses".
DW & I spent our honeymoon in Cape May, NJ. We took a tour of some of the Victorian buildings, and found out that Victorians were fond of conspicuous consumption – drapes 2 feet longer than they had to be; in the summer indoor furniture would be brought out onto the porch, and the bump-out in the bathroom advertised "indoor plumbing!" to all and sundry.
Still, a lovely photo of a lovely house.

Perhaps some Victorians.
Our home was built by a multimillionaire Victorian, Howard Janney.
Yet our home would fit into some of our neighbors front rooms. But the extreme quality of work and craftsmanship and detail are exquisite.
Thank you for looking and commenting.
