Lovely image, lovely balance. Whatever you've done, it's kept the shadow on the building comensurate with the prevailing conditions.

I am no paid pro but I heard about the zone system and try to incorporate full black to full white as I have heard.
It does make photos more interesting over those with just midtones.
Some subjects I cannot see the range and unless there is a good story pass on them.

It's a great shot of a beautiful house. And while I greatly admire the house I'm damned glad I don't have to scrape and paint it!

Wish you were there telling that to my father when I was growing up. I think I spent half my life scraping and painting. There was always a building on the farm that needed painting.
