You live in a country that is trying to force 100s of farmers to sell their farms to the government "voluntarily". Of course then the government says that if they don't sell voluntarily they will take the land.

Has it ever occurred to you that if we shut farmers down we all starve? And you worry about Richard posting nonsense. What do you call the nonsense that your country is engaging in?

Yes because he's making noise and is repeating himself on and on. He's a sad troll...

I live in a country with a very dense population.
I live in a very small country, 237 times smaller than the USA.

But I also live in a country that is the World’s Second Largest Food Exporter!!!

The farmers in The Netherlands have known for 40 years that they need to change. The agricultural lobby, the farmers and the Rabobank (Hollands biggest Bank) have caused the current situation, where court now has decided that change need to happen one way or the other.

Do you think it's normal that the soil where we grow food is dead, no life in the soil whatsoever because of all the toxic and chemical goods injected and sprayed over it?

Little nature that we have is suffering and decreasing, 18 million people have virtually nowhere to go to relax in their free time. We produce far too much food and fly this food around the world against a price that's far too low, but also far too high when it comes to pollution.

A part of the famers in some area's have to change their way of farming. A very decent amount of farmers already switched to a more sustainable way of farming. The other option is to sell their farms to the government at 120 % of the current value.
Some will stop voluntary, some will change and some will be seized farming.
This is a challenge but also a possibility for farmers abroad.

Why should the Netherlands produce food for the rest of the world and at the same time put enormous pressure on the environment?
We need to build homes for young people and refugees although this is environmentally suicide combined with the stress that farmers are causing with their way of farming.

The world won't starve when Dutch farmers are reducing production. Most of it is luxury food or meat that third world countries can't even afford. Failing production In Ukraine is a bigger threat...

A 40 year battle is finally coming to an end....

The world may not starve if Dutch farmers reduce production, but the Dutch farmers might. And, imagine what happens if other countries follow suit? Then the world will really starve.

But, that isn't even the main point here. How would you like it if the government took your house and your job and said, well, it's fair because we are giving you 120 percent of it's value? What is the farmer supposed to do to make a living?

The biggest danger to the world right now is not c*****e c****e, it is totalitarianism in the name of protecting the environment. If you think it's OK to take someone's livelyhood and their land then you are part of the problem.

Happens all the time right here in the USA where it's called eminent domain.

My great aunt had her house taken in the '60s for the Route 34 Connector here in New Haven which was never built.

I'm not ok with exploiting the globe for a business model purely based on growth. This globe is kind of precious to me and even more precious to those to come...

I'm aware of eminent domain and it is regularly being misused in the U.S. It is also wrong. What is happening in the Netherlands is unconscionable. Farming is a generational industry. You are not just taking away the livelyhood of the current farmers, but of future generations as well. And, it will do little or nothing for the environment. They will probably cut the use of nitrogen, but it isn't going to accomplish anything else.

For some reason I missed how telling this about your little country applies to G****l W*****g?

What is so bad about G****l W*****g anyway? Humans, vegetation, and crops do well in warmer weather. More than half of the world's population continues to move south because people like to be warm. But the more pressing need is for water in these areas and with G****l W*****g comes increases in water.

The only harm in g****l w*****g is sea level rise. But that can be easily managed with sea walls and moving inland.

The interview shows that John Stossell asks the right questions and the political Climate alarmists can't answer them.
