I was trying to gather images of the sun with my 600 mm lens with a sun filter on my Canon T2i body. I was getting some good exposures when I noticed a plane heading for the sun. So why not shoot the sun and plane. You can see the results here. Geeky things: exposure was at 1/2500 of a second with the ISO at 6400. should not have used that high, but I had the ISO on auto. f stop was at f8 hand held. hope you like it. RFB

Looks like the right time at the right place. Great shot. I got lucky at the last mercury transit in Nov 2019 and some birds flew in front of the sun while mercury was still in transit. see
