Since I'm not so good at documenting historical facts, I am posting the phone grabs of the signage to that you can see the official history of Nuttallburg coal tipple and conveyor. That Henry Ford played a role in the upgrades to the coal mine during his time of ownership contributed greatly to the soundness of the structures that we see today.

Beautiful pictures! My sister and I were in the area 2 years ago, but never made it there. I am glad I got to see your photos!

Nice!! Thanks for sharing the info signs.

I am always amazed how structures built 100 or more years ago are still standing and in some cases still in use while structures built in recent years won't last 50.

Like so many projects, deep pockets to pay for quality makes a difference. That's why I included the signs--I thought the backstory was pretty interesting.

What I found interesting was the rail track squeezed up against the mountainside--I marvel at the challenges of getting equipment and materials into such remote areas.

Although the saying goes 'a picture is worth a thousand words', in this case, the pictures without the words (signage) would be a mystery of 'what is that?'!
