I've been looking online for a compact pocketable camera - new or used. There are lots of nice little cameras available, but I just didn't want to part with $300+. Then I remembered my wife's camera. Perfect.

I bought her a little Kodak Easy Share One in about 2006. It's an amazing little camera - all metal, heavy, tough. It has a flip-out LCD, internal memory that will hold 1,500 pictures, plus a slot for an SD and another for a Kodak Wi-Fi card that can send pictures to the Kodak printer. The printer uses transfer film to print nice color pictures. It has a flash, 3X zoom, and 4MP. Yes, a whopping 4MP.

Reading the review done by dpreview in 2005, it cost $599, but I doubt I paid that much. The Wi-Fi card alone cost $99. I'm charging the battery now.

You can find more info if you look for the dpreview.

My wife's S60 fits in my shirt pocket.
No articulated screen though.

Once again you disappointed me Jerry. I thought you found a new "Free Camera" deal.

Nice little pocket camera Jerry...BUT....

For a couple dollars more you can have an almost brand new easy Share Dock....

Season's Greetings! For similar reasons, I find my Canon SX620 HS serving me well within its limits.

The key is accepting the limits!

My wife wanted an easy to operate, small camera when she is out on visits.
Without spending a fortune I picked up a FUJIFILM FINEPIX S SERIES S4830 16.0MP. It is available for under $70. She loves not lugging around a huge camera. Fortunately or unfortunately, it can’t fit into a pocket. It won’t get lost or forgotten somewhere.

I don't need no stinking dock. Especially for $20.

This one was sitting in a drawer, no expense at all.

Yes, some good deals are available, but this Kodak cost me nothing.

Funny! I popped an SD card into the camera and took some pictures. There was nothing on the card. I checked the manual, and it has a limit of a 1GB card. I inserted a 512MB card, and it works fine.

Without flash and then with flash. Not bad for a 4MP camera from 2006.

Unfortunately, I had to order a $6.00 USB cable for it. It seems to use a size that only Kodak cameras used.
