I remember 1970 as the year the engines got choked down with smog control. Took some years for car companies to improve the smog control and regain some horsepower.

I had the 73 Dart Sport with the 360 and same hood scoop. They didn't have the muscle of some of the early darts, but were still pretty good for smoggers.

When equipped with the 340 c.i. the early Darts and Dusters were strong runners and could be quite competitive on the 1/4 mile!

Nice shots! They bring back great memories, I bought a new bright yellow Duster 340 in 1970, a really fun ride.
