We checked in to the Sheraton Saigon after our stop at the market and were met by a very special welcoming committee. Their beautiful faces, sweet songs and bouquets for the ladies really made our day!

Sheraton Saigon Hotel And Towers is a luxurious 5-star property conveniently located only 4.3km (2.7mi) from the centre of Ho Chi Minh City. Guests of the hotel will have easy access to Ho Chi Minh City Hall, Ho Chi Minh City Museum and Saigon Notre-Dame Basilica. Reunification Palace, Ben Thanh Market and Mariamman Temple are also not far away.

Back when I was managing a group of civilian engineers for the Navy doing in-service engineering support for the S-3 Viking aircraft, one of my engineers was a young Vietnamese lady electrical engineer. She was a hard working and talented EE and a joy to work with. One day when she was a young girl, she found herself in a boat off of the coast of Vietnam with her family; she was one of the "boat people." She ended up in Oregon initially, where she got her BS in EE and then she made it to the Bay Area.
