Up until Covid, my family had been gathering on Thanksgiving since 1941. Our first was in Jersey City, NJ at my maternal Grandparent's apartment. This is the only photo I have from that first Thanksgiving. My family gathered for 78 consecutive years. Covid broke the tradition.

Left to right: top - my maternal grandparents, Bottom: My aunt & uncle, my cousin Gail, another aunt & uncle, me, my Mom & Dad. I'm the only one still alive.
note: The photo was taken by a cousin who was a professional photographer and served in the Army during WWII.

I wish all my UHH friends a Happy & Healthy Thanksgiving!!
Mark

Mark, Happy Thanksgiving! That photo brings back memories of the family photos we used to take back then. Sad part is my family who were in the photos have now passed. Nevertheless you took me on a nice trip to the past especially since we spent some Thanksgivings in Dumont, NJ that's in Bergen County........those were the days.

Thank you, Steveo!! I graduated FDU, Teaneck in 1958, so I know of the Dumont area quite well.
Have a wonderful holiday!!

Happy Thanks giving, Mark A great photo And what I really love about it is how everyone was dressed to the nines for the dinner. Many years later, here we are wearing the most casual we can get away with - no matter the location or event. Of course, I'm only editorializing about people I know, and the Chicago area...
