Guarding the Pyramid

Got a kick out of this encounter -- The smallest of the 3 pyramids at Giza -- few tourists go there but of course; I did & ended up getting some that were quite interesting -- Fairly sure this Egyptian Guard was unaware of my presents -- Tried to be quiet so not to disturb him -- I say if a guy is sleeping - or even resting his eyes - with a gun on his hip -- Let him!!

I swear - I saw more guns in Egypt than when I was stationed at Camp Penelton --
Guns on hips, shoulders & backs of Egyptian Police, Army & Para Military
Except for this poor soul, all were fully upright with open eyes --
A Big travel NO-No is not to take photos of these folks -- When caught they take your camera & delete all the photos.
I'm really glad my guy kept his eyes closed!

It’s been that way for years. We figured they probably didn’t have bullets. I never heard of anyone being shot.
