Hi everyone, I’m looking for a full frame Nikon that would have a lens included for about 800-900 USD. I was looking at d810 and d610. Are any used Z cameras available in this price range? Any other recommendations? Where is best place to purchase, KEH, BH, etc?
Thanks so much for any tips!
Chris

I used a d 810 for a few years it was ( and still is) a great camera but it might stretch your budget a little adding a lens I also know a couple of pros that still use a 810 and love it

Don't waste money on a D610. Others on UHH report poor low light performance, poor autofocus performance in low light and mechanical issues. If cost prohibits buying a new camera or used mirrorless, consider the D750 with great low light capability or the D810 with great resolution and IQ that is the equal of newer cameras.

A friend has a D610 and used it for a short time before replacing it. To me, it felt cheaply made. I have a D810 that has over 250,000 shots on it and it is still going strong and is capable of doing far more than I could ever ask of it. I consider it my go-to camera when I want to do something special because it is a professional-grade camera and it was top-of-the-line when released.

My everyday camera is now a Z6 and I do my focus stacking sessions with a Fujifilm X-T20.

Check on Nikon's site for reconditioned bodies. I bought my Z6 a year ago July with the FTZ adapter. Have shot over 6000 images so far.

Z6 refurbished $1,279.95, and that's without the FTZ adapter. The OP mentioned a budget of $900 including a lens. There are many great options if one is willing to spend more money. In that price range, a used D750 or possibly D810 is what to look at. The D610 is not up to their quality.

circa68!

I have two Nikon D810s that I bought on eBay and love them! Currently on eBay, they're going for around $700 depending on usage. They're rated to over 150K actuations. With a $100 nifty 50, you would be good to go!

They're probably similarly available on KEH, MPB, B&H, etc for approximately the same price.

Be well! Happy Thanksgiving! Ed

Nikon has a refurbished Z50 with lens for 800 or two lenses for 1000.

KEH has an "excellent" D800 for about $600. Not fast, but outstanding IQ, even by today's standards. Add an 18-200 lens for a hundred dollars (US) more and you're in business. Even add a two year warranty and stay well under $900.

I believe that the 18-200 lens is a DX lens. A decent and overlooked walkabout FX lens is the older 28-105 f/3.5-4.5 AF-D. These tend to go for $100 to $200 used on eBay. The D800, D800E and D810 have similar IQ. They're all built to professional standards. The D800 has the anti-aliasing filter. The other two don't. The D810 is a faster camera with better autofocus than the other two, but all of them stand head and shoulders above the D610.

As far as used gear goes, I've had great results with Roberts Cameras out of Indianapolis. Their customer service is outstanding.

I did mention bodies first. I was also referring to my own experience with Nikon's reconditioned stock. However, thanks for the update on.the pricing of the Z6. I paid a bit less than that.

I’m getting ready to post my Z7 body for salehere on UHH. My recent review of used Z
full frame Z bodies with a lens is probably a bit more than the price you’ve noted. Remember, you’ll get what you pay for.
