I don't believe I have ever seen him do such a comprehensive review of any camera. I'm a Canon guy. Love my mirrorless R5 but can't tell you a thing about the Z9. My nephew, a former newspaper photographer and dedicated Nikon guy, recently bought one. Gives it mixed reviews as far as using it but seems to like it more the longer he has it. Not surprising. Takes a while to get used to most anything new. He seems very pleased with the Z9's output though.

You do not have to switch IF you are happy with the performance of your cameras.

Credit card points.

Fame & fortune.

When you change to shooting a mirrorless camera, you already know you're a better photographer.

Suggestion: Rent to try before you buy.

I lose my credit points whenever I charge something big. It went up after I paid it off but it went down like 20 points for a month or so.

Runakid, you keep asking this same question. Please borrow or rent whichever camera you are considering and decide for yourself.

I did not realize that I had asked this question before. I am sorry to have wasted your time.

Prestige
Less money to worry about
Much better pictures
The opportunity to buy new lenses
The opportunity to post here and ask how to use the camera
Doubts about whether you made the right decision

Why is the OP's bank account of concern to anyone but him?

Yes! I am a great photographer, so I deserve great equipment. I use that excuse for lots of things. "I deserve it."

Has anyone experienced a need for more frequent sensor cleaning with a MILC vs a DSLR, taking into account how often lenses are changed, the shooting environment, etc.?

Frank was saying lightening the OP bank account is one of the benefits for getting the Z9. The OP asked the question because buying the Z9 or not is of no concern to anyone but the OP but he asked the question.

You don't have to be a great photographer. You deserve everything you have Jerry.
