Thankful to live in such a beautiful place as Northwest Montana, and thankful also for the sacrifice of Jesus who died for us all so that we might live.

A SPECIAL NOTE TO ALL:

Life has gotten very busy/hectic here at home.
Plus weather has been too crappy all month to take pictures for this challenge.
Probably will have to go out of town for family funeral this week.
So I plan on being on Forum just not much, hopefully once a day!

An advance thank you to all who contributes to this challenge.
Wishing you all a Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Bob

Thanks to Patography and her challenge “Slow Shutter” and to lhammer43 for hosting Another “Free Sunday”. A lot of great captures in them both!!

There comes a time when we just want to set aside for a few minutes and be Thankful for what we are, and the things that we have or cherish most.
Example: house, cars, boats, jobs. Does not need to be recent photos. Most of mine will be from my archives.

Very thankful for...

Thanks for being our Thanksgiving host, Bob. I am thankful for many people and many things.

I'm thankful for the friends made and skills learned through UHH

Thankful for family

I'm thankful for a certain member of the female persuasion on UHH who is greatly skilled and inventive and shares all her great pictures with us, loves her family bunches - and shows them how important, essential, and loved they are in her life - and zestfully demonstrates to us all that ageing does not mean diminishing, but instead signifies getting closer and closer ever day to the top of one's game - and is, in fact, a glorious stage of life to be savored C'mon Guess who

I am Thankful for Husker still being with us! He was DX with stomach cancer earlier this year. Since then palliative care consists of home made food with fresh veggies, fresh deer and or beef. We purchased a half of cow we from a local farm to ensure that it’s grass fed and no ugly extras in it.
So we also been using a quantum light panel, flax seed oil, cottage cheese and Metamucil.
Just had more scans done this past week and vet is amazed with his progress as are we! Tiny amount of growth, blood work is good too! His coat is super shiny and thicker than it’s ever been in his 8 years of life. Husker also suffered from severe hip dysplasia. Walks are limited and dictated by his pain level which we end up using meds for. I am not a fan of them by any means though but prior to bedtime I do administer and that has now become a little more frequent as of late. We all know how pain seems to be louder at night. The panel is an huge part of his treatment and he is active after having it and even plays with our sons dog. All in all I’m pleased and very thankful he’s still part of our life!!

I absolutely love the second shot Just what we need instead of the horrible wind and unseasonable cold I sure want to caution you about that leopard. If I were you, I sure wouldn't leave him lying about like that. It's too easy to trip over him and hurt yourself when walking about the yard 😯😯😯😯😯

I am thankful for shots like this which show us the incredible beauty in even the most forlorn structures that we might otherwise just walk by without any acknowledgement🔆 Thanks, Tommy, for showing how everything and everyone in life is worthy of our attention 🎈🎈🎈🎈🎈

I'm thankful for having a weekend place in Fish Lake, IN. My parents bought it back in 1959 when I was five. Neither dad nor mom is with us anymore, and the house is now mine. Since I retired a little over two years ago, I have been spending four days during the week there, every week. No noisy Chicago people then! I take pictures, read a lot, swim in the lake daily, enjoy my life with my neighbors, take care of four big yards, and take long walks. My favorite place is under a half of an ash tree we had cut down except for ten feet of trunk, about ten years back when the ash-borer disease hit it. Told the guy to leave that much standing so we could see the trunk from out window. He thought I was crazy. The next spring, it put out shoots, and since then it has been growing again. I feel such peace at Fish Lake! I have loving friends and neighbors and as much alone time as I want. The place is also indescribably special to me because, though my mom died three years back, she loved it as much as I, and her presence fills every nook and cranny to this very day. She was/is indeed the friend of a lifetime - and believe me, death has not changed that
