These and previous post were all shot with a 50mm f/1.4. Had it in my head I'd be a conscientious photographer and and not be lazy as with a zoom but, yeah, I was lazy and just cropped. That's the thing, we all know when we're shooting on the fly, there's not always time to waddle up or back a few feet- or twenty- or we'll miss the shot.

I wonder if there is a demonstration rack some where ?

The Fair location is in a low spot subject to flooding and I think the rack (why isn't it spelled "wrack"?) floated off... maybe some kid's paddle wheel (HA!!) by now...

Neat outfits. I like those elf ears in a couple of the shots. Nice work.

Excellent festival photos! I love the lighting - it gives the images the feel of being in those times.

I'll admit to fondness of elf ears myself, Ballard- so long as they don't interfere with hat wearing or driving with my head out the window... but since I rarely do either, elf ears are great! There's one vendor- at the Fair- that does a very good job matching color and texture in the transition from warm human flesh to the cooler (I imagine) substance of elf... And, frankly, elf ears are fun. THANKS for your comments, Ballard!!!

Yup, "those times" before electric lights!! Honestly though, as photographers, we know how forgiving is light on an overcast day and with a bit of architecture- a doorway or window or between buildings- even a fat person- can squeeze direction into that otherwise flat light... and that's pretty cool. Cool also is that you had a look and took the time to comment- THANKS!! StanMac!
