I want to try drone photography with out breaking the bank. I am considering a Holy Stone FS720E or G, as a way to try it out without investing a lot of money for a trial. I know some will say I will be disappointed with the Holy Stone, but was hoping there is someone on here that has gone that route and can offer some advice. I really don’t want to invest $1000 or more in a trial and not be proficient enough to continue.
The G model has a 2-axis gimbal and eis. The E model will give you fisheye images and video and you will be very disappointed. Something with a 3-axis gimbal will give you the best chance at stable images. The DJI mini SE can be bought for $299.00 at Amazon. I just bought one. It doesn't have many of the features of my Hubsan but it is still a great little drone. You can buy a third-party app called Lichi which will give you many additional features. It costs about $25.00. It's a GPS drone and is stable and has a good range. Check it out. Be sure your phone is compatible with whatever you buy.

Do you believe that the G model would offer more features than the DJI mini SE? I have a Samsung Galaxy S22 phone, I would imagine it would be compatible, but how would I confirm that? You an tell by my questions that I m a novice at this. Does the app Lichi work with any drone or just the DJI Mini.
By the way thank you for answering my questions. Was not sure if anyone would respond, so thank you.
I have the DJI Mini 2. I bought it at Costco in a kit with an extra battery and micro SD card for $440.
Why Costco? Because they have a 90 day satisfaction guarantee.
Why the Mini 2? Because it is the lowest priced drone with the features and specs that make it a long term keeper.
I didn't know anything about the Holy Stone HS720, so I looked it up! It weighs 460 grams. The DJI Mini SE, Mini 2 and Mini 3 Pro all weigh under 250 grams.
The under 250 grams means a lot legally with the FAA regulation system.
