Remote Control

I took this photo with a smartphone from about 15' to the subject using the supplied remote control pen, did some minor adjustments in the phone and then cropped it severely.

The phone was outside on a tripod, in the cold, while I was inside, warm behind the glass patio door.

This was my first attempt at this. The feeder was swinging from the action of the bird activity.

It's not up to my usual standards, but I am amazed that it turned out this well.

I used the Galaxy S22 Ultra.

I do the same with my 850 and remote. I've never seen it done with a smart phone. I think you are one of the few guys that is smarter than his phone

I realize it might not be up to your perfect standards. But if it were mine, I'd be ecstatic!

I have been playing with my phone camera and discoverying things I didn't know. Think I can do better. Next week when the temps are higher I try again.
Thanks for the encouragement.

Would you care to share the things you didn't know?

Sure just a couple of things...for bird images...the pen is also a radio trigger and can trigger the camera from at least 40 feet, maybe more, I only tested it to that distance. Holding the pen button will fire the camera continuously..that will enable closer subject to camera distance, improving IQ. It won't work in 108mp mode.

You can erase objects in images by circling them and touching the erase icon.

40 ft is a long distance is a long way. I use a Blootooth remote for my IPhone. I have never tested it past 15 feet.

Same here, maybe not even 15 feet. I did discover that I can trigger the iPhone camera with my Apple watch and that does work past 15 feet.
