Approaching with unusual Point of View give impetus for more thought about what we see in every day life. Good approach to your particular Genre. Makes you photos looked at with a pause vs a glance.

From a former art teacher, You seem to like textural subjects from an unusual point of view, that's good. Being consistent is also a way to find your "voice" when making art. Eventually, you should be able to refine your images to capture what it is about texture and unusual camera angles that fascinates you and captures your attention.

Interesting ! Back in school I was often criticized for lacking "a cohesive body of work". I was kinda pleased about that, at the time.

I bit my tongue and never critiqued that critique with "Isnt that a positive situation for a young student ?".

Seems like the faculty wanted to hurry us prematurely into our personal ruts. Then I guess they could brag that they were turning out authentic "mature artists".

Yes. At "scenes" that have negligible depth, no foreground or background.

Two pix above are not really staight down, but they are square on which essentially achieves the same thing.
