A good one, Ron. And some good original thinking on your choice of shooting angle. I think most shooters, myself included, would have moved to the right to get more of the man in the shot. Showing just his legs is great.

Hey Voss…thanks for the comment and observation. When I was walking by this (rare and historic) shoe-shine stand, I saw this (exhausted) man reclining…and only his legs where sticking out. I had my camera in my hand and knew I had to take a shot. I shot this in color, cropped and converted (still experimenting with RAW)……this was just some quick composition thinking. I really like sequence shooting, but there was no follow-up to this shot.
I didn’t realize how many stories where in this photo; for instance:
1. There are three steps in the photo, two to take a seat.
2. There are four sets of foot rest, four seats.
3. The stains on the back-walls, the positions of the bottles of polish, and the flat seat-cushions indicate which are the more often used seats.
4. The man’s reclining posture implies that he is trying to stretch his back…..after bending over all day.
