40th St Portal Philadelphia Pa.
Not exactly trains but they do run on rails, called subway surface cars here. 40th St is one of two locations that the trolleys go underground, Once they go under they remain underground until the return trip. All cars are Kawasaki Type K LRV cars that I find uninteresting but no one asked my opinion before the purchase.
Philadelphia does have two separate subway lines beside this light rail system.
This portal was opened in 1955 after 30 years of plans, talk and WWII.

Don't know if the 'GO PHILLIES!!' banner helped but they did beat the Braves several hours later to end the series.

Finally every several years some dimwit drives into the portal, suspect substance abuse is involved.

I used to work close to an underpass with a large sign warning drivers of the exact height limitation, and every year some
professional driver would get his rig wedged under it.
