We are in Michgan's upper peninsula. This is the second time I was able to get a BIF. I totally had the wrong lens but went for the shot anyway. I only got a few butt shots, but I'll take it. Thanks for looking

Actually you got nice wing shots!
Iām partial to the first one. Nicely captured. I am not a fan of birds shot from behind. Lord knows I have enough of those. š
But they are in focus and show the detail well, Fran.

Myself, I have many birds from behind. Not my favorite, but it is always a learning experience. The first one is good.
Well on your way to frontal shots. Be aware, birds take off and land into the wind...so...if you can arrange it, placing yourself upwind of birds gives you a MUCH better opportunity to get frontal shots.
