In April of this year I asked for suggestions for picture ops while sailing the inland waterway of Alaska. Dennis2146 gave me an excellent suggestion about looking for houses in remote areas while actually cruising. Here's a range of what I saw thanks to his suggestion. All were taken while on board with a Sony RX10 m4. Thanks Dennis for the help.

That’s living in SE Alaska. Sure varies, doesn’t it. Thanks for sharing.

Beautiful and informative set. With all the architectural options available why would someone build that white monstrosity in a beautiful location like that?

Really nice. The white one just doesn’t belong in the forest, to me.

Good question and how do they get to it?

Beautiful all, but I'd be happy to take that first house off of someone's hands 🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩

Just a wild guess here that the first one is a wilderness lodge.

It was definitely in the wilderness but that's all I know about it.

People come up here and pay big bucks to stay at places like that to go hunting and fishing. And some of these places are way out in the middle of nowhere. Or so it would seem.

Yup. That first one sure looks like a lodge. There are a lot of them in Alaska in remote locations. This one has boat and probably floatplane access.
