Was up in the high country last week looking for fall colors and went into a popular area for archery elk hunting. It was towards the end of archery elk and most of the hunters had left and no sign of any elk either! Anyhow, just a few snaps of what the area is like and sights along the way.

Nice set, beautiful country. I quit hunting many years ago when we camped in tents and walked. Our creed was that the size of the animal shot was directly proportional to the distance to a road

Yes, like you Jack, I've done a lot of hunting on "shanks mare" and climbed and packed out my last animal this past year...at 81 its photos from here on out...liked you creed!!
