I set my Nikons (D500, D850, Z9) to 1/3200 to purposely capture a bit of blur. 1/4000 to 1/5000 will generally freeze hummer wings.
Three of the four examples I posted were taken under difficult lighting conditions using long telephoto lenses. The first shot was taken in sunny light.

Where are your Hummer shots?

Hi there, I’m in Pace, FL, in my backyard. I set up my tripod and watch out the window and then run to try and catch them lol. They stay a few weeks and then move on.

Hi there, I need my hummingbird to be green lol. The camera is picking the background tone instead (600mm, 1/8000s, iso 6400 f/6.3, natural light) I don’t know how to fix? Thanks! Forgot to add, I used AWB. Pretty sure that’s the issue, but these guys don’t stay still! Custom WB?

The rest of the image color appears to be correct. The iridescent colors of hummingbirds change with light directions. I think you have the correct color just as shot but you can try to turn down the flash to 1/32 or 1/4 power and try again. To me there is too much flash here. If you must change the color use color picker in post and selectively adjust the color tone to green.
The attached photo was shot with a better beamer on my flash at about 1/32 power.

Do you happen to know the plant/flower name that is in the 3rd photo you posted ? I'm searching for plants/bushes that attract hummers as we are re-doing our yard. thanks.

"...not real proficient with flash" SophieLila there within you'll likely find a viable solution.

btw, it's not the camera, nor the lens... instead it is knowing how to illuminate... by it's very definition photography is painting with light, learning how to control it is paramount.
The primary difference between hobbyist and commercial photographers is mastery of illumination. Photographic excellence isn't a consumer commodity i.e. you can't purchase it instead you have to earn it (hope this makes sense).

Photographic excellence primarily comes with mastery of the craft... I found working as a lighting assistant for a myriad of commercial shooters in my market to be of considerable value and worth on my journey... Many of whom had degrees in fine arts from leading universities...

Best advice? Maybe get off your computer and into a commercial studio... There you may find an entirely new fascinating world. I certainly did...

Wishing you all the best on your journey into the photographic arts SophieLila

Photoshop also offers a filter on colors such as the yellow you show here to damp down the intensity of yellow and amp up the other colors such as cyan magenta etc to adjust the specific color of your pic without affecting the other colors in your photo. I sometimes prefer that over masking a particular area just because my masking outlines are never quite accurate.
