Dear users:
A reminder that this section is about our collective efforts to improve our photography. Each posting should be an effort to display a photo seeking comment to improve/ verify a concept / etc. At some point, you should enlioghten the crowd what you were trying to do and perhaps do some self critique as well.
For those commenting...this is not a section to (generally) write a one line, "nice job." That is what the echo chamber (the Gallery) is for. Comment on what is good, what needs improvement. If allowed, consider downloading and re-editing. This section takes a bit of effort. Please be mindful of the intent and the rules of the section.

When this section started downloading and editing someone else's work was strongly discouraged. Has that changed?

It is allowed if the OP requests or allows it. But only in that instance.

Since it takes such awkward wording to define a crop, I have sometimes copied OPs image into a third rate BW just describe a crop. That way its barely a sketch, not a "real copy".
Im not asking whether thaz actually within the rules. Im simply sharing a method for clearer communication.
