Hi All,
I've been pretty bad about keeping up with this forum and apologize for that. I have a lot to get caught up on and can't wait to see more of your beautiful babies! I've had a lot going on, (not sure when I posted last) but after my hubbies passing (it will be 2 yrs in Dec) I finally feel like I'm going to survive. This year has been rather rough, my mom passed in Feb, I ended up with a case of Covid that turned into a sinus infection and took almost a month to get over, then I found out my oldest Aussie (will be 15 end of this month) has lung cancer along with some other issues, so I've been trying really hard to stay out of the rabbit hole. I'm still working full time (hope to retire the end of April next year) and continue to take photos of the students at the Obedience School where I take my youngest dog Penny for lessons. If I could live at the Obedience School I probably would, that is my safe zone and brings me the most comfort. I have no family here, its' just me and the dogs, but the school is like my second home. Anyway, I'm rambling, and these are a couple of photos of my super model Penny who does such a great job for me letting me continue to practice working with my strobe lights that still to this day give me grief I hope you have all been well and look forward to seeing your gorgeous pets ♥♥

Great photos of Penny!! She's a wonderful model!!

I'm so glad you are back!!

So sorry for the loss of your husband (lost mine in 2005) and at the loss of your mom (lost mine in 2008). I understand how you feel and it does get easier but there are some days that just nail us.

I'm so sorry to hear about your Aussie's cancer. I can't tell you how many of my cats I've lost to cancer. My vet says cancer in animals is rampant.

I'm glad you are over your bout with Covid and that you have found an anchor in the storm with the obedience school. Hang on tight and remember to take just one day at a time.

Looking forward to more photos!!

Sending you hugs!!!

Dodie

Dodie, thank you so much for the warm welcome! I know others who have gone thru the same thing understand how easy it is to get lost in life, hubby and I were together 46 yrs, and there are days I still can't believe he is gone, losing mom, and then to find out Caiden has cancer, it's just been rough, but one foot in front of the other and just keep going forward, that's all I can do. Don't know if you remember Karma (my blue Merle-she hates getting her photo taken) she will be 14 in Dec. but still going strong and then little Penny and I still do some competitions, but it's not having anyone to come home to but the dogs, who can't say too much to me, that gets me down every now and then. I could go on, but that's not what this forum is for, so I'll say thank you again friend ♥

You can ramble and rant all you want here. A lot of us know how it feels. Take @ lot 9f pictures of Penny, Caiden and Karma. Not clear if. Aiden is still with you. Penny is adorable.

Sorry to hear of your trials and tribulations. When I'm feeling down and out, I go on a long, quiet walk with a camera. No goals in mind, just take photos of whatever catches my fancy. It helps...for me anyway.

Thanks so much NMGal, I truly appreciate your kindness. I need to get back to taking photos of the dogs, I have a lot of Penny, she's always with me on Saturdays, but Karma hates to have her photo taken and Caiden, most of the time is sleeping (but still doing fairly well) I didn't mean to run on about my woes, but thank you for listening ♥

Many thanks Retired CPO, I need to start getting out with my camera again now that the weather is getting nicer. I am not a summer person at all, and this summer has been really hot and sticky here, but today was beautiful and the wonderful colors are just around the corner, so will have to get motivated again. Thanks for the pep talk, it helped ♥

Hi Deb. Hi precious Penny. I'm so glad you are back and I pray you are feeling better. It takes a long time to accept all we have been through and come alive again. Makes me happy to know you at least feel like coming back. Your camera has been good to you while you were away and so has sweet Penny. I know it was difficult but I'm glad you kept going, even when you didn't feel like it. I'm so sorry for what Caiden is going through. We are going to be looking for some great new shots from you now and you ramble on to us any time you feel like it!

Oh Jo, I love you so much and you have been so supportive♥ You are such a great person and even though we haven't met in person I consider you a good friend. I know you too have been thru a lot with the move and your losing Joe, but we are fighters and we carry on. I do want to get back on here again and start participating, things are finally starting to fall back into place, it just takes time. I've started a new hobby doing diamond art (kind of like paint by numbers-very relaxing) and you know me, love to be at Bella's taking those photos of the students and Penny and I have done some competitions, so it's all good. Thanks again Jo for being there for me when I needed a shoulder and I hope you continue to do well and I'll keep checking in

PLEASE do keep checking in Deb. We will never be the same but after we accept things, it gets a bit easier. Accepting is the hardest part. I thought I would die and didn't care.
I want to see some of your new hobby. Knowing you, I know it has to be beautiful!
One thing we had to get through our heads is that they would want us to go on and stay strong. That's not easy either. Give your pups a hug for me and as always, if you need a shoulder, I'm just a keyboard away.

I think Miss Penny knows how adorable she is!!!

Beautiful photos! That is good you have found a safe place at the obedience school. Life is full of unexpected valleys and mountains and it sounds like you had your share of valleys in the last 2 years.
