Question from my wife today....
High Speed Ektachrome pushed to 400. Great for race cars and motorcycles, and jumping horses.
And:
"Key Largo" with Humphrey Bogart, Edward G. Robinson, Lauren Bacall; to me, the definitive post-war movie.

Kodachrome 200 I said.
If you're going that way:
Portra 160- turn of this century
Portra 400 this last decade or so.

Kodachrome
They give us those nice bright colors. They give us the greens of summers. Makes you think all the world's a sunny day. Mama don't take my Kodachrome away.
Not only have they taken away your Kodachrome, but your Fuji Velvia and Tri-X as well, thrown them all in the sea and left you with little squares that even when held up to a bright light do not show any photos!
The Third Man or The Thirty Nine Steps

When I was little it was: The Wizard Of OZ.
Am I the only person that used Kodachrome 10. I believe this was in the 1956-1958 time frame.
Best film ? Hoosiers and Strategic Air Command
Kodachromes!
My Dad used ASA 8, I started with 25 version.
High contrast, high saturation, narrow tolerance for over or under exposure. Over last 20 years scanned and rescanned ; kodachromes perfect, very fine grain specially low ASA, not so good higher asa, no color drift, may be more contrasty than when projected. Contrary to what is recommended in some cases IR dust removal on scanner often helps. Only problem some fungus in 70 year old slides.
Chromogenic films like Ekta not so good, seems to depend a lot on who developed it. Higher speed versions coarse grain, much color drift.
Agfachromes 50 years old pretty good, better than Ekta, less saturation.
Ferrani, I wish I were not so cheap or had more money 50-70 years ago! Under Ferrania name abroad, Focal the KMart brand here, horrible color drift, grain never good, seems worse
ANSCO, 3M never good, used some ASA400 , probably no faster than 200 very contrasty, much color drift. May be it was made by other companies? Was I the only one using these?
Color negatives Prints many faded, scanning hit or miss, difficult to manage, best scan as Raw then play with Photoshop
Sukiyaki Western Django
Try to discern all the other western movie scenes.
Even if you don't like it at first, you'll watch it twice.
The next one would be "My Name Is Nobody"
Terence Hill and Henry Fonda; by Sergio Leone
Celebrating the end of the line for westerns in general, and Sergio and Henry

I would have said, "The Great Escape" or "Red River".
