I'd stick with the first one. Police have enough of an image problem without posing with a tac shotgun. JMHO

These are ok. IMO environmental portraits should be like animal photos where the person is doing something. A deer in a field is nice. Two deer fighting during rut is a great Photo.

These are poses. Cops are difficult because when they’re doing something it is often a dangerous situation for the cop and others.

For instance, maybe catch the cop doing a chamber check of the shotgun or talking on radio? I may be biased on that I am retired LE so someone sitting in a car or holding a shotgun is not that interesting.

The environment for cops is filled with stress. Capturing that in a photo is difficult.

For your subject these will be nice to have. They’re well done.
